Rachel recently made the transition from a successful law career to dedicating herself to yoga, health and wellness. After curing a herniated disc, developed from sitting at her old law firm desk, through frequent yoga practice, yoga went from being a respite from everyday life to so much more – it was how to find balance, stability, health and happiness.
Leaving her old desk behind and diving in, Rachel earned her 200 hour certification at Yoga Vida, a Pilates Mat I certification, a 100 hour Yoga Vida Mentorship with Sangeeta Vallabhan and a 85 hour prenatal and postnatal yoga certification with Deb Flashenberg. A lifelong learner, Rachel felt she needed more hands on experience and founded The Blue Moon Collective as a group to serve both new yoga teachers and provide accessible yoga for all types of students.
Stemming from of her firsthand experiences in the corporate world, she saw the need for providing those working a traditional 9-5 with an outlet through yoga, which in turn increases overall effectiveness. She is thrilled to now be able to do so as a co-founder of The Yoga Department, a company dedicated to helping employees step away from their desk, even just for a little bit, to create space and freedom within their bodies and minds.
